Eco Warriors & Philanthropy
In light of the events over the past few months, we would like to re-share this article.
A year ago today, our Founder Justine was featured in the South China Morning Post where she shared her thoughts on veganism, as well as being more eco-conscious and focussed on greater sustainability within fashion. Now, more than ever, this article resonates with how we can all do our little part in the world.
Justine, Laureen, the entire BK Atelier and Flow Farm and Sanctuary Teams have donated to the following:
Animals Asia- An organization devoted to ending bear bile farming and improving the welfare of animals across Asia.
Jane Goodall Institute- Dr. Goodall's life's work with chimpanzees and education. Along with her vision continues to mobilize the collective power of individual action to save the natural world we all share.
Redemption Paws- A Canadian dog rescue group that regularly organizes volunteers to drive to Texas to bring dogs back to Ontario to find new loving homes. Since being founded in September of 2017 – post-Hurricane Harvey – Redemption Paws has helped rescue and re-home approximately 950 dogs (and counting).
PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals)- Founded in 1980 and is dedicated to establishing and defending the rights of all animals.
As we all navigate towards a cleaner and mindful future, our hope is that we can all take this time to educate ourselves on conservation and preservation for the next generation.
